From the MSGH website:
The Malaysian Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology (MSGH) representing gastroenterology, hepatology, gastrointestinal endoscopy and gastrointestinal surgery in the country was registered as a society in 1994 replacing the former Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology of Malaysia. The MSGH has been a very active one with a membership of 627. It has involved itself in training and in numerous CME activities. Together with the Academy of Medicine, Malaysia and the Ministry of Health, the MSGH has been involved in credentialing specialists in gastroenterology and hepatology. Although a relatively small organization in terms of membership, the MSGH is considered one of the most progressive medical professional societies/ associations in Malaysia. The MSGH has a proud tradition of organizing top class international annual scientific meetings as well as live endoscopy workshops which has brought a good name to the Society as well as to Malaysia.
